AI receptionist for restaurants · Pakistan
The tandoor is full. Awaaz takes the order.
At 9 pm on a Friday, nobody at the counter can hold a phone and write an order at the same time. Awaaz answers your restaurant's SIM and WhatsApp calls in Urdu, takes the order item by item, adds up the total from your menu and sends it to you on WhatsApp.
Sample call recreated with Awaaz's real voice. The business name is a placeholder.
Awaaz by OMA Tech Studio is an AI receptionist for Pakistani restaurants, dhabas, BBQ and karahi places, fast food outlets, bakeries, takeaways and home kitchens. It answers calls on the restaurant's own SIM number and on WhatsApp, in Urdu and English, 24 hours a day. It takes phone orders and table reservations, adds up the total from the menu prices you give it and sends every order to your WhatsApp. Plans start at Rs 20,000 a month for 300 minutes of calls.
What callers ask, and what Awaaz does.
Restaurant calls are short and come in waves. Most of them are an order, a question about the menu or a table booking, and every one you don't pick up is a meal someone orders from the place down the road.
“Menu bata dein, chicken karahi kitne ki hai?”
Reads out the dishes and rates from the menu you've given it, half and full. If a dish isn't on the menu, it says so. It won't make up a price.
“Koi deal chal rahi hai? Chaar log hain”
Tells the caller about the deals you've added, like a family deal or a weekday offer, with what's in each one. Then it takes the order if the caller's happy.
“DHA Phase 5 tak delivery karte hain? Charges kitne hain?”
Checks the areas you deliver to and your delivery charge rules, like free delivery above a set bill. If the area is outside your range, it offers pickup instead.
“Order kitni der me aa jayega?”
Gives the delivery or ready time you've set, for example 45 minutes. If you want a longer time on busy nights, tell us and it'll quote that instead.
“Jumme ki raat 8 logon ke liye table chahiye”
Takes the number of people, the day and time, the section you offer (family hall, rooftop) and any occasion like a birthday. Then it confirms the booking and sends it to you.
“Order me ek naan aur add kar dein, ya cancel kar dein”
Changes or cancels the order, works out the new total and sends the update to your WhatsApp straight away, so the kitchen isn't cooking the old one.

Says her order came cold. Awaaz apologised and said the owner will call her.10:18 pm
Every order on your phone, with the total already done.
Each order lands on your WhatsApp and in your dashboard with the caller's name, number, items, delivery or pickup, address and total. Table bookings come through the same way, with the number of people and the time.
Before it confirms, Awaaz reads the whole order back to the caller, so "half" and "full" don't get mixed up. If someone calls to complain, it apologises and sends you a red alert to call them back. It doesn't argue and it doesn't promise refunds.
It doesn't take payment. The rider collects cash, or the caller pays the way you normally take payment.
- Answers calls on your existing SIM number and on WhatsApp
- Every call recorded, with a written transcript in your dashboard
- Missed calls called back within about 2 minutes
- Only says what you've given it: your fees, timings and address
How we set it up for a restaurant
- We take your restaurant's details: the full menu with half and full rates, deals, delivery areas and charges, delivery and ready times, opening hours, seating and your address.
- We set it up online on the number customers already call or message. Nothing changes for them.
- Orders start coming in on WhatsApp and in your dashboard, usually within a few days.
Why peak hours lose the most phone orders
Restaurant calls don't come in evenly. They all come at once: the hour before iftar in Ramadan, Friday and Saturday nights, and the evening of a big cricket match when whole families order in. That's exactly when the counter's packed and the phone rings out.
A caller who can't get through rarely waits. They call the next place on the flyer. Awaaz answers on the first ring, so your staff can stay on the food, and it calls back missed calls within about 2 minutes.

FAQ
Restaurant owners ask first.
Does it work on our Jazz, Zong, Ufone or Telenor number?
Yes. It answers the SIM number your customers already call, plus WhatsApp calls on your business WhatsApp. You don't need a new number or new flyers.
Does it connect to Foodpanda?
No. Awaaz handles calls to your own number. Foodpanda orders still come through Foodpanda as they do now. What Awaaz helps with is the direct phone orders, where you don't pay a commission.
What happens when we change the menu or prices?
Send us the new menu or rates on WhatsApp and we update it. Awaaz only quotes the prices it's been given, so it won't keep selling a dish you've taken off.
Can it take orders in Urdu and English?
Yes. It speaks Urdu by default and switches to English when the caller speaks English. It also understands callers who mix the two, which is how most people order food.
Can it take payment for the order?
No. It takes the order, gives the total and confirms it. Payment stays with you: cash on delivery, at the counter or however you take it now.
What does an AI receptionist for a restaurant cost in Pakistan?
Awaaz is Rs 20,000 a month for 300 minutes or Rs 30,000 for 700 minutes, plus a one-time setup of Rs 15,000 to 20,000. See how that compares with a salaried person on the phone.
