Built around how you already work
Off-the-shelf software makes you change your process to fit it. Custom software fits your process. We start by writing down how work moves through your business today, who does what and where it gets stuck. The software follows that map. Anything that doesn't earn its place gets left out, which is often why our quotes come in smaller than people expect.
Proper engineering underneath
The Rashid Academy portal runs on Next.js 14 with MySQL, server-side sessions and hashed passwords. For simpler systems we use PHP and MySQL, and for larger ones Laravel with a tested API. Every role only sees what it should, every form is validated on the server, and every database is backed up.
What drives the cost
- Number of roles. One admin panel is simpler than admin, staff, customer and parent logins.
- Modules. Admissions, fees, attendance and results are each a piece of work.
- Existing data. Importing years of records from Excel takes time to do properly.
- Integrations. SMS, WhatsApp, payment gateways and printing each add work.
- Hosting and upkeep. A monthly fee covers the server, backups, updates and small fixes.

On a server we administer, or on your own hosting if you prefer. Either way we set up SSL, backups and monitoring, and the same people who wrote the code can reach the server when something goes wrong.
How is it priced?
As a written price for the scope we agree on a call, before any building starts. Hosting and upkeep afterwards are a monthly fee. If you want a change later, we price it before we make it.
