AI receptionist cost in Pakistan, in rupees.
Most write-ups on this topic quote dollar prices from American tools. This one uses Pakistani salaries and the PKR prices Pakistani businesses actually see, including ours, so you can work out whether it's worth it for you.
a month for a voice AI receptionist on a Pakistani number, for most small businesses in 2026. A salaried receptionist in Lahore averages Rs 34,910 a month and works office hours only.
WhatsApp text bots start around Rs 4,000, but they don't pick up phone calls.
What a human receptionist really costs
Indeed puts the average receptionist salary in Lahore at Rs 34,910 a month, based on 237 reported salaries (updated 17 September 2026). Karachi and Islamabad are usually a little higher.
The salary isn't the whole cost. A receptionist covers about 50 of the 168 hours in a week. Calls after 7 pm, on Sundays and during lunch go unanswered unless you pay overtime or a second person. Add leave, sick days and the week before Eid, and most businesses miss more calls than they think.
None of that makes a good receptionist a bad hire. They greet walk-in customers, handle cash and files, and use judgement no software has. The real question is who answers the phone, and that's the part an AI receptionist replaces.
What AI receptionists charge in Pakistan
These are the public prices on each provider's own website, checked on 26 September 2026. Prices change, so confirm with the provider before you decide. We've included our own product, Awaaz, and marked it.

Work out your cost per call
The monthly price only means something next to the minutes you get. Divide one by the other:
- Awaaz Starter: Rs 15,000 ÷ 300 minutes = Rs 50 a minute. Pro is Rs 25,000 ÷ 700 = about Rs 36.
- Voxy Starter: Rs 8,000 ÷ 250 inbound minutes = Rs 32 a minute, before outbound minutes.
- A receptionist: Rs 34,910 for about 216 working hours. If they spend a third of that on the phone, that's roughly Rs 8 a minute, but only during office hours.
A booking call usually takes under a minute. Our sample calls run 26 to 36 seconds from greeting to confirmed appointment. So at 10 calls a day, you'd use about 300 minutes a month, which is exactly Starter.
The number that matters more is the other side: what a call you miss costs you. If one missed buyer is worth Rs 50,000 to your business, one saved call a month pays for any plan on this page. Try your own numbers in the missed-call calculator.
What pushes the price up or down
- Minutes. Busy clinics and agencies with ads running need the bigger plans. Check what extra minutes cost; Awaaz charges Rs 25 each.
- Your number. Tools that work on your existing SIM are cheaper to start. A virtual number or SIP line can mean new hardware, or reprinting your ads and boards.
- WhatsApp calls. Many Pakistani customers call on WhatsApp first. Fewer tools answer those.
- Urdu quality. Listen before you buy. An AI that sounds robotic or mixes up "saadhe chaar" loses callers.
- Setup. Someone has to teach the AI your prices, timings and answers. Some providers charge for it once; some leave it to you.
- Recordings and reports. You'll want to hear what was said to customers. Check it's included.
When a human receptionist is still the better buy
If most of your customers walk in rather than call, if the front desk also handles cash and files, or if every call needs a judgement call, keep your receptionist. Plenty of businesses use both: the person handles the counter, and the AI takes calls when they're busy, after hours and on holidays.

FAQ
AI receptionist cost, asked plainly.
How much does an AI receptionist cost in Pakistan?
Voice AI receptionists that answer calls on a Pakistani number start around Rs 8,000 a month and most small-business plans sit between Rs 15,000 and Rs 25,000 a month in 2026. Some add a one-time setup fee. WhatsApp text bots are cheaper, from about Rs 4,000, but they do not answer phone calls.
Is an AI receptionist cheaper than hiring a receptionist?
Usually, yes. The average receptionist in Lahore earns about Rs 34,910 a month according to Indeed, and covers office hours only. A voice AI plan of Rs 15,000 to 25,000 answers around the clock. A human still wins at walk-in guests, paperwork and judgement calls.
What is the cost per call?
Divide the monthly price by the minutes included. Awaaz Starter is Rs 15,000 for 300 minutes, which is Rs 50 a minute. A typical booking call lasts under a minute, so each answered call costs roughly Rs 50 or less.
Do I need a new phone number or a PBX?
Not with every provider. Awaaz and Voxy both work with ordinary Jazz, Zong, Ufone and Telenor numbers. Some other providers route calls through a virtual number or SIP line, which can mean new hardware or a different number on your ads.
Does it answer WhatsApp calls too?
It depends on the provider. Awaaz answers both SIM calls and WhatsApp calls on your business WhatsApp. Many Pakistani tools are WhatsApp text bots only, and some voice tools do not mention WhatsApp calls at all.
Are there hidden costs?
Check three things before you sign: the setup or hardware fee, the price of extra minutes after your plan runs out, and whether call recordings and a dashboard are included or charged separately.
